Open-Wide

So it is dinner time and you're stuck in a dilemma. You want to eat healthy so fast food is out of the question. Your fridge is as bare as Gobi Desert. Your pantry is as empty as your stomach is feeling because the hunger you have. Quick, simple solution to fix your problem: Open-wide for a mouthwatering CHICKEN-PARMESEAN HOAGIE, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Shopping list- for 2 hoagies

2- Hoagie rolls

1 LB – Deli chicken tenders

1 pack- Fresh Basil

4 slices- Mozzarella cheese

12 oz – Tomato Sauce

First off, pre-toast the bread after you cut it open; I like to season it with olive oil, salt, & pepper. Heat the sauce up in a pan, season to taste—my favorite is some crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, onion powder, & garlic. While the sauce heats crop of the basil and toss it in the sauce if you like, or save it to garnish the hoagie when it is ready to eat. Next chop up the chicken to your liking—I went with long strips. The bread should toast for 2-4 minutes and then take it out of the oven. It is now time to place the chicken on the bread, followed by a conservative amount of sauce so the bread does not become soggy. Let that go at a 300oF clip for about 4 minutes, then place two slices of cheese on each hoagie, and turn the oven onto broil. Monitor it and melt to whatever you please. Once you take it out of the oven, spoon some more sauce on top, and finally garnish with the basil.

ENJOY!!!!
